Capsule 6.0 - Sakura
Capsule 6: Sakura
Released in August 2023, Sakura became one of our best-selling capsules to date. Inspired by the beauty of Japanese cherry blossoms, the collection captured their soft colour palette — baby pink, white, and black — and brought it into the world of FoutuWorld.
The idea behind Sakura was to celebrate both nature and culture. Cherry blossoms represent renewal and fleeting beauty in Japan, and for us, it was about capturing that same energy in our clothing. With the car community being such a big part of who we are — especially JDM culture — the inspiration tied in naturally.
This capsule also marked the introduction of new products and the reinvention of some favourites, making it one of the most complete collections we’ve ever done.

The Pieces
Cherry Petal Hoodie
A standout from the drop, this hoodie featured a vertical back text logo with cherry blossom leaves floating behind it — subtle but striking, and completely tied to the theme.

Cherry Blossom Hoodie
As with every capsule, we dropped a stylised staple hoodie. For Sakura, the classic logo was surrounded by blossom detailing, tying our identity directly to the collection’s theme.

Temple Tee
A minimal rectangle graphic showing a Japanese temple with mountains behind it. Clean, simple, and balanced — a quiet nod to Japanese architecture and culture.

Sakura Tee
This piece carried Japanese text (“お花見 / Ohanami”) layered behind the design. Ohanami is the tradition of gathering to view cherry blossoms, making it a perfect cultural reference for the capsule.

Snow Cargo Trousers
A fresh version of our much-loved cargos. This time in snow white, embroidered with the new FU2Star logo in pink. These quickly became one of the most sought-after pieces.

FU2Star Logo Pieces
The FU2Star logo had been created earlier in 2023 to represent our car community, but it found its perfect home in Sakura. With JDM culture and cherry blossoms both rooted in Japan, the fit felt natural. The logo featured across tees, hoodies, joggers, New Era caps, a shoulder bag, and even a cooler bag — our first time ever making one.

Double Pink Staple Tee
One of the most playful items of the drop: a pink logo on a pink tee. Simple, bold, and instantly recognisable.

Accessories
We rounded out the capsule with sports bras, shorts, keyrings, tote/shoulder bags, and the new cooler bag, making Sakura one of the most varied collections in our history.

The Shoot
The Sakura campaign day was unforgettable. We ended up shooting at abandoned cooling towers, where we crossed paths with base jumpers launching from the top and people flying VR drones through the towers. It gave the whole day this wild, chaotic energy that perfectly contrasted the soft tones of the collection.

Why Sakura Mattered
Sakura wasn’t just a collection — it was a moment. It showed how FoutuWorld could connect nature, culture, and community into one vision. The colours stood out, the new products pushed us forward, and the integration of the FU2Star logo bridged the gap between streetwear and car culture in a way that felt natural.
It became one of our best-selling capsules ever, and it’s easy to see why: it looked good, it felt good, and it carried meaning.
